Greenfield Community Resilience is a non-profit organization (501c3) dedicated to promoting community resilience and emergency preparedness in the Greenfield area. We, the citizens of Greenfield, recognize that Greenfield is not the highest priority for aid resources during large scale emergencies, such as catastrophic weather, and so we aim to prepare to care for our own in times of great need.
As an all-volunteer, citizen-driven initiative, Greenfield Community Resilience aims to provide resources, training, and support to the community that empowers residents to be better prepared for any emergency or disaster that may affect our community as well as provide an organized and skilled response to emergencies in times where our community’s needs cannot be met by traditional emergency services.
Community-centered approach: Our programs and initiatives are focused on the needs and priorities of the Greenfield community. We are Greenfield residents helping our fellow Greenfield residents when a catastrophe befalls us all.
We aim to provide knowledge, skills, and tools that empower individuals and families to take control of their own safety and well-being during emergencies or disasters.
We believe in training, both on an individual level and as a team, to ensure when our team is needed, we’re ready. We believe in outreach to foster quality relationships with the professionals in emergency response. Our goal is to work alongside, as best as civilians can, with existing emergency resources, such as fire, police, EMS, and government, to make the difference when their resources are stretched thin.
We believe that in an uncertain world, we ourselves must take responsibility to help our fellow citizens when the unfortunate happens and uncertainty becomes reality.
